Please do not take any medicines you or your visitors may have brought into the Hospital without first consulting your doctor.
For insurance as well as hygiene reasons, you must not leave the Hospital grounds. Patients leaving the Hospital do so at their own risk. Patients who need to remain attached to medical devices - such as infusions, catheters and so on - must not leave the ward without prior permission from the nurse in charge.
As we would not wish for you to risk compromising your own health, we request that you do not wander around the Hospital, or leave the Hospital grounds, without first obtaining permission from your doctor.
Alcohol consumption causes damage to health. Please be aware that alcohol consumption may interfere with, or even prevent, your recovery. As a result, alcoholic beverages are not allowed in the Hospital. Please be open and honest when discussing your level of alcohol consumption with your doctor. This is important as alcohol may interfere with the effectiveness of your treatment.
In accordance with legislation banning smoking in public buildings, smoking is not allowed in Ludwigshafen Hospital, except in the designated smoking area in front of Building B/C and in the Hospital grounds. Smoking is strictly prohibited outside the main entrance to the Hospital as well as all other entrances to the Hospital. Please be open and honest when discussing your level of cigarette/tobacco use with your doctor. This is important as alcohol may interfere with the effectiveness of your treatment.
The use of mobile telephones is not allowed in any of the Hospital's buildings. This is necessary to avoid possible interference with medical devices. Mobile telephones must be switched off inside the Hospital. Please note that the use of camera phones is prohibited for data protection reasons.
The use of personal electronic devices (e.g. heaters, kettles, mobile air conditioning units) is not allowed in the Hospital, with the exception of personal hygiene and grooming devices (e.g. electric razors, hair-drying/styling equipment). Liability for damage caused by personal electronic devices brought into the Hospital will be dealt with in accordance with statutory regulations. We are also unable to accept liability for any such personal devices.
For hygiene reasons, pets are not allowed in the Hospital's grounds and may not be brought onto the wards.
The feeding of pigeons is not allowed anywhere within the grounds of the Hospital (this includes throwing food from the windows).
