Clinic of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine

The Clinic of Anaesthesiology, Pain Therapy and Intensive Care Medicine is responsible for providing anaesthesia for all surgical disciplines and for all kind of invasive diagnostical interventions. All kind of anaesthesia techniques are used including thoracic epidural anesthesia, TIVA, and  regional anaesthesia methods.

Besides providing anaesthesia, the Clinic of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine is responsible for an interdisciplinary intensive care unit including 12 venilation units and the postoperative anaesthetic recovery unit (PACU) with 21 monitoring places.

The Clinic of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine covers a 24 hr pain service that provides all kind of pain therapy including patient controlled intravenous anesthesia (PCA) and patient controlled epidural anesthesia.
