The Medizinische Klinik B at the Klinikum Ludwigshafen provides a diagnostic and treatment service for patients referred with actual, or suspected, heart, lung, and vascular diseases.  The service comprises outpatient facilities, inpatient provision, a comprehensive range of non-invasive investigational facilities, cardiac catheterisation and angiography with a wide range of interventional cardiology procedures.

In the Clinical Electrophysiology we counsel, evaluate and treat patients with all forms of cardiac arrhythmias. From drug therapy to all methods of eliminating cardiac arrhythmias with  invasive, catheter-based procdures, the most up-to-date treatment modalities are applied. This also includes the catheter-based treatment of atrial fibrillation. Concerning the therapy of patients with pacemakers and implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs), we gained experience over many years, especially in case of challenging and complex conditions. We also perform the pacemaker-based treatment of heart failure.
