Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery

Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery is mainly composed of the surgically active main department and the department for phoniatrics and pedaudiology.

In the main department, all limited and extensive surgical procedures in this specialised field are carried out except for acoustic neurinoma surgery. This ranges from adenoids removal and tonsillectomy with children to reconstructive and hearing-improving middle ear surgery to extensive tumour surgeries.

The department for phoniatrics and pedaudiology examines and medicates disturbances of the voice and speech, of swallowing and infantile defective hearing.
