The clinical tasks and duties of the institute cover the entire spectrum of microbiological, infection-serological and parasitological diagnostics of patients of our hospital, including a consultant service for clinicians concerning the diagnostics and therapy with regular ward rounds at the bedside. The central hospital hygiene and infection control ist organisationally and spatially affiliated with the institute.
